Community and Land Use Planning

The Community and Land Use Planning module will cover a variety of topics including: the roles and responsibilities of council, administration and the public, the creation, adoption, and amendment process for Official Community Plans and Zoning Bylaws, the subdivision process, servicing agreements, the development permit process, the development appeal board process, enforcing bylaws, the building permit process, as well as regional planning.

Registration:

Participants must be registered and have their fees paid one week prior to workshop date to accommodate for materials and space. To register, please check Register for more information.

Cancellation Policy: 

As of September 1, 2008, the cancellation policy of the MLDP is as follows:

o If MLDP cancelled an event, the payee will receive a full refund;  

o If the payee withdraws at least two weeks prior to the event, they are entitled to a full refund;  

o If the payee withdraws within two weeks of the scheduled event, they are entitled to a refund of 50% of the registration fee (SARM will retain their administrative fee and the remainder shall go into program development); and  

o If the payee does not provide notice of non-attendance at an event, the entire registration fee will be forfeited.
